Safety Manager
A leading company in the construction industry, committed to delivering high-quality services while ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence, is currently seeking a:
SAFETY MANAGER
To join their team and ensure compliance with local safety regulations and workplace safety protocols across various construction sites in Barcelona, Spain. With a strong presence in the global market, the company provides safe and reliable construction solutions to its clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures on construction projects.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local safety regulations and industry standards.
- Organize and lead safety training programs for employees and contractors.
- Perform risk assessments and recommend measures to mitigate potential hazards.
- Monitor and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear.
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain safety records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and OHSAS safety standards.
- Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to address safety concerns and implement solutions.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to maintain a safe working environment for all workers.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree or official studies in Occupational Risk Prevention (ORP) or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, or related fields.
- Proven experience in occupational health and safety roles, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and OHSAS.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead safety programs effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and mitigate risks efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and maintain safety standards across multiple projects.
